The hungry eyes festival 2025 findet wieder im Kinocenter Gießen, dem Kleines Haus des Stadttheater Gießen, sowie im Atelier Trafo statt.
The Kinocenter Gießen was opened as early as 1912 and, as Gießen's only art house cinema, is an integral part of the local cultural scene. In addition to a diverse film program, the cinema organizes many special events and cooperates with festivals, such as Seriale.
Screenings will take place in the Casablanca cinema, which has 90 seats. Access with a wheelchair is possible, but the movie theater has only a few wheelchair spaces.

The hungry eyes festival ging 2016 aus dem Filmfestival Filmsommer (2016) hervor und schärfte über die Ausgaben 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 und 2023 sein Profil als interdisziplinäres Festival, welches Film nicht nur auf der Leinwand, sondern auch in performativen und installativen Arbeiten zeigt und reflektiert.
Originally founded by a small group of students of Applied Theater Studies , its passion was and still is film as a medium in all its facets.
